Staff and students in ‘Growing Up Disabled in Australia’

Growing Up Disabled in Australia

In February 2021 some of our staff and students are published in the 'Growing Up Disabled in Australia'.

'Wired for sound' is current student Fiona Murphy's essay on her personal experience growing up deaf. In more good news, her memoir The Shape of Sound (Text Publishing) will also be published in early 2021.

In addition, Andy Jackson, our Poetry teacher, contributed an essay 'Question marks and a theory of vision', and Astrid Edwards, our Program Coordinator, contributed another essay, 'Who counts as disabled anyway?'.

Growing Up Disabled in Australia is the fifth book in the highly acclaimed, bestselling series from Black Inc.
